The Alekos Fassianos Museum is thrilled to announce that its museum spaces are expanding with the addition of the artist’s authentic Atelier!
The Alekos Fassianos Atelier, housed in the third floor of the Alekos Fassianos Museum is a recreation of his studio in Athens . Visitors are invited to discover a more personal side of the artist by entering his room, viewing his color palette, personal objects, archival photography, non finito works wardrobe, including clothes he sewed and designed and toys he created and played with, as a child.
The space sheds light on the artist’s character and way of living which were an integral part of his way of creating. It emphasizes on his multifaceted personality and illustrates his curiosity to experiment with different mediums and techniques: bronze, metal, wood, ceramic.
”…I create the materials myself. I make paints with glue and powder. When you cook at home, doesn’t it taste better than the restaurants? That’s kind of what I do. My studio is like a kitchen. I cook and create unique recipes…”

Visits will be organized in small groups and will start every hour and will last 20 minutes.
Photography of the third floor is strictly forbidden.
