Mission & Vision

The Alekos Fassianos Estate is a non-profit civil company founded in 2020 by Alekos Fassianos and his family. It is dedicated to collecting, preserving, protecting, and exhibiting the oeuvre of Alekos Fassianos, as well as interpreting and defending it by all legal means.

Operating both nationally and internationally, the Estate focuses on strengthening and expanding the artist’s presence. In June 2025, it participated as the honorary guest at the Salon du Livre Rare in Paris with the exhibition The Aesthetic Universe of the Artist. In October 2025, it inaugurated its first institutional exhibition, Alekos Fassianos: Sailing to Byzantium, at Istanbul’s Zeyrek  Çinili Hamam. The Estate has also established a collaboration with Herald St Gallery in London, and Fassianos’s works were featured at Art Basel 2024 and 2025 as well as Frieze London 2025.

On a national level, the Estate operates through the Alekos Fassianos Museum, developing initiatives that facilitate research into the artist’s oeuvre and make his work accessible to a wider audience. Through its exhibition program and Contemporary Intervention Program, the museum invites contemporary artists to intervene within the space, seeking to foster a transgenerational dialogue between Greek contemporary artists and Fassianos’s legacy, opening new conversations around art and the world.

The Estate is also producing audiobooks of Fassianos’s autobiographical writings and organizing talks dedicated to his life, work, aesthetic philosophy, and the cultural milieu that shaped him. In addition, it is undertaking a long-term projectto publish a comprehensive, illustrated online catalogue raisonné of the artist’s work.

Finally, the Alekos Fassianos Estate is the sole legal authority authorized to examine and authenticate works by the artist.
