During the pandemic, curator, researcher, and writer Katerina Papanikolopoulos moved from Los Angeles to Athens, where she soon began hatching plans for the Athens Design Forum, a nonprofit platform that examines the Greek capital’s design heritage and future. As part of it, there will be exhibitions, like one devoted to works by research and design studio Objects of Common Interest at Carwan Gallery. Guests will also be able to take intimate tours of designer Kostas Lambridis’s studio and the Kypseli home of architect Dionisis Sotovikis. Not to be missed? The public unveiling of the Papagos house, the estate where renowned painter Alekos Fassianos lives and works. September 30–October 7various locations in Athens, athensdesignforum.com
