Beauty lies behind what you feel, not behind what you see

Adding Color to Memories

What would our world be like without photographs?
Without that one element that keeps our memories alive?

But what if we wanted to add even more to our memories?
The chirping of a bird?
The scent of flowers?
The warmth of the sun’s rays?
The flutter of scarves in the wind?
The colors of an open-air market?

Perhaps then, we would have a complete picture of our memories — somewhere between the real and the imagined, the ideal and the dreamlike.

The Alekos Fassianos Museum invites its young friends to bring to life the black-and-white memories of the artist, by adding their own color, sound, and imagination.
